Project ARGUS Events
Be Prepared for Terrorism CBRN, Pandemic and natural disaster.Apply the Project Argus message to your existing contingency plans or develop Business Continuity and contingency plans from our "Free" training and templates.

We are pleased to present the government counter terrorist initiative "Project Argus" in association with a full days training and group workshop. Project Argus will form the basis of the days training with a simulated attack designed to promote measures you can take for preventing, handling and recovering from a terrorist attack and natural or accidental disruptive event. 13 Pandemic- Epidemic & Outbreak control

The world is currently faced with the threat from various antibiotic drug resistant infectious and communicable diseases. More importantly humans have no natural defence to many of the emerging or remerging diseases and defence may now depend on engineering controls to limit their effects. Businesses must plan for absenteeism through direct illness, support and comfort of employee’s family and most importantly fear.

This course provides management with:

Information on 10 emerging threats including:

XDR TB (Extensively Drug Resistant )
SARS
H5N1

The course explains the potential CDR Casualty Death Rate and why planning should identify groups most likely to be affected by absenteeism.

Proactive Controls & Mitigation

From the hazard and risk assessment proactive solutions will be presented which will mitigate or eliminate the risk of business disruption through absenteeism. This process includes the use of engineering controls ranging from dynamic bio stats to social engineering and personnel defence issues ranging from the use of PPE personal protection equipment. The course identifies current failures in procurement and use of typically available PPE products and alternatives.

The course focuses on the following issues:

Introduction

• Threat of Pandemic and Epidemic the significance
Business Continuity issues
Treatment and Prophylaxis care
Absenteeism potential and reduction.

Vector agents

How to avoid infection

Engineering controls
Disinfection
Social distancing
• Use of masks
Cough suppression
Employee compliance
Travel circumstances

Note on Module 11

Module 11 is designed for personnel and employees and provides training on specific personal issues only. It briefly explains the risk and hazard but avoids in depth explanation of module 10.
